The test that became "Titan AE "

These are some test renderings for PLANET ICE, the project that later became the feature film TITAN AE. I was originally hired to work on this back in 1997 for VIFX.

During the six month test, we decided to use procedural shading and RenderMan, since 16-bit color was the desired result. However, this proved to be a bit of a challenge for me, since I relied so heavily on texture painting. Nevertheless it was a great introduction to RenderMan.

Although this project was eventually awarded to FOX ANIMATION in Phoenix, I am still proud of the work that we did.
